Established in 2013, 3D FilaPrint is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of 3D printing filaments, printers, resins and more. They also offer 3D design and printing services.
They take pride in their commitment to supporting charities and schools through fundraising activities, donations and volunteering.
Education
As part of the award winning BBC micro:bit scheme, supporting children to develop their coding skills, 3D FilaPrint donated 30 micro:bit kits to a local school.
3D printing Formula 1 cars
The business has sponsored two university final year projects by providing 3D printed materials for F1 car component part prototypes and the final project.
Boys Brigade
Volunteering time to a local boys brigade, the team have supported them to design and print their own 3D creations.
Hungry Cupboards
Working with two local schools and a charity, 3D FilaPrint has supported a competition for children to design 3D printed Hungry Cupboard toppers, and donated two 3D printers to support learning.
Open days, career fairs and education packs
3D FilaPrint regularly attend local school and college open days and career fairs, the team has also developed a low-cost education pack, including a mini curriculum to support class-based learning about 3D printing.
Charity and local causes
Havens Hospices
Havens Hospices, in particular Little Havens, is 3D FilaPrint’s chosen charity. Over the years, they have raised several thousand pounds through auctioning 3D printed products, including an 8ft Groot and a one-of-a-kind princess castle, hosting Spool Parties and other events. When the team attend exhibitions, they always take a charity donation box with them.
St Luke de Paul
The business has donated several hours of time to support a local homeless charity’s guests learn new 3D printing skills, as well as donated thousands of pounds worth of 3D printing equipment to the centre.
