Innovation
Signposting from Launchpad’s business growth support mean that the business is currently in the initial stages of working with Innovate UK and the University of Essex through a Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP).
The project will support the development of an innovative, new element to the Hivedome product that will enhance the customer experience and future-proof the business.
Collaboration
Hivedome has embraced the collaborative culture of Launchpad, built
connections and used the services of fellow customers to support
community and growth initiatives, like successful apprenticeship and graduate schemes.
Community
While the business has a global workforce, the move to Launchpad has
prompted a commitment to support local talent and employment.
The business has onboarded two computer science graduates who live
locally and offered work experience placements to local school and
college students.
Growth
Since joining Launchpad the head count has grown strategically through targeted roles, including project management, business development, customer service and marketing and communications.
These roles have been specifically introduced to realise growth opportunities.
Mindset and Wellbeing
Working with the Business Growth Manager supported the business in
being aware of and accessing some of the above opportunities. It has
also supported a business growth mindset through regular 1-2-1 sessions.
Being based at Launchpad has supported post-COVID hybrid working
arrangements – many of the team cycle or run to the centre and make
use of the facilities.
The business provides services to huge global brands. Being based at
Launchpad has provided opportunity to host clients and set the right
impression to support the development of partnership opportunities, as
well as key commercial negotiations.
